Advice on cleaning sandalwood carvings? Detailed & delicate...?

Tried vacuuming, brushing with soft & small brush but just cannot seem to get all dust off and get carvings looking like new... Anyone tried putting sandalwood oil on sandalwood carvings?

I have a big soft paint brush that I pounce on my intricate carvings. It gets the dust out.
