I have a big problem with small brown moths in my apartment-how to get rid of them???
Answers:
If the guinea pig's bedding is cedar shavings, then they are coming from somewhere else. Cedar is used to keep moths away from things. It is used in closets, and in hope chests ect, because it naturally repels moths. You can buy cedar blocks at many home improvement stores and some drugstores. Put them around the house. You could also try Mothballs (naptha, napthalene), but they have an odor that some people do not like. Try insect sprays if you can find one for moths, or if all else fails, call in an expert. Oh, and if you have anything made of wool, check it for eggs. And keep the guinea pig, they are great pets. :) Good luck.

if your sure its the bedding throw it away and buy new stuff later,, make sure you microwave the bedding to kill any new larva etc,,, you will have take care of the larva on your ceilings etc by hand,, you can spray first with insect spray,, the moths you can spray, put out moth balls to help get rid of them,,
That sounds like a moth problem we've had a couple times. The larvae hatch in cereal or grain products. Look through all the grain products in your house; you may find one that's full of larvae. You may have to throw out everything in that drawer or cabinet if they've spread. Good luck.
