Dishwasher child sanctuary concern?

I am planning to buy a diswasher soon but I have 2 childlike children, my daughter has special wants, although 5yrs old is more similar to a 2yr old and have no sense of danger!

So I entail to be able to preserve the dishwasher door locked at all times.

I know some hold a child lock but what do these child locks do? Are they just to prevent tamper with settings, or can they preserve the door locked even when the machine is not within operation?

And if they don't keep the door locked, any thinking of what I can do about it? I can one and only get a freestanding appliance and I am within the UK.

Also I have used stick on appliance locks for adjectives of my appliances but they never stay stuck down on the washing piece of equipment, probably due to condensation, so I expect it would be the same near a dishwasher.

Is there anything else I could do? Is it possible to fit a padlock on it in need causing problems? I palpably wouldn't want a hole in it to bring leaks!!!

Any thinking or info? Thanks xx

Answers:    jazzy and the other person (who i cant be bothered to remember their ego as they are so irrelevent anyway) how dare you ever call a child retarded......................

someone be asking for advice and not criticsm, what right do you own to question how someone wash their dishes and whether they are lazy or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am totally exasperated by your replies, something constructive would enjoy been nice instead of living within the dark ages and calling a child "retarted" - probably you could get your organizer out of the dark ages and out of your own **se!!

if you cant proposal advice next "DONT BOTHER" - ignorance is bliss - well surrounded by your eyes anyway!!!!

In the meantime, dear dishwasher person, i really cant proposal any constructive advice, apart from disappearing this unhelpful site which definitely has rude, unacquainted people joining it - i know i will be...................

I do hope that your child doesnt hurt themselves near the dishwasher and i hope you are take the counsel from Jazzy and shove it where the sun doesnt shine!!!!!!!!!!

MARY G - i did bother to read your heading - but all i could bring to mind was the criticism you offered and the finance up of jazzy ! yes people do attack, so please read your first strip again where you put the word "true" surrounded by it, as you were agreeing next to what jazzy said! No person should use the word "retarded", what an awful word, but the most awful factor of this thread is that a person be seeking advice in the region of a dishwasher and ended up anyone called laid-back! that is a disgrace!
hmm hypothesis ... go to a shop and verbalize to someone who knows almost dish washers
