Why are my table lamp bulbs exploding?

About 15 minutes ago, I heard a loud pop--the table lamp bulb in my upstairs hallway lamp have exploded and sent glass shards down the board room. The empty socket be smoking for a minute or so. The lamp have been on for just about 10 minutes with a foreign 100-watt bulb.

Then, 10 minutes later, the bulb contained by the lamp over my computer (25-watt) exploded as economically. It's in a different room and have a different brand of bulb in it.

Anybody own experience with anything similar?

Answers:    Hello Lauren. To hold two different wattage bulbs on two circuits blow like that sounds resembling a very fruitless power spike. I would at least suggest conversation to your power company to come out and check your lines/breaker box. Best of luck and I hope this can be helpful to you
