What's the most safest and convenient way to discard those tacky wire hangers you get from the cleaners?
Answers:
I donate all our useable discarded items to thrift stores supporting homeless shelters and disaster relief, House of Ruth is another very good drop off site for used infants, women's and children's clothing as many times they leave the home without any personal possessions and depend on these places until they get into a safe environment. All the above have clothing and household items on the rack and can use the hangers.

I put them in my recycling bin - its metal, and can be recycled, so why not?? Thats teh safest and cheapest way. Or, you can take them in yourself and try to get a few pennies back...
Some recycling companies won't take hangers. Check with yours. The Salvation Army/Goodwill will sometimes take them. Or you could see if the cleaners will take them back.
If you want a little inconvenience, sometimes elementary schools use them for art projects.
when you take more cleaning in---take the hangers back to them---they probably wont pay you for them but the good will may come in handy some day
