If you dont see termites does that be determined you dont hold them immediately? I mull over I saw some former trash contained by joist?

I saw dry, flaky, easy to pick stale pieces of my floor joists. Not huge areas 6 inches or smaller amount in length. I do see the tunnels. I suspect termites but I never ever see any. No mud tube, no saw dust, none ever crawling around. I am surrounded by the process of cleaninf the basement and seal the walls so I am all over the place.


Answers:    LOL chante..evidently someone isnt trusting individual thier opinion...or they wouldn't be asking for facilitate here...Termites can be had lacking visually seeing them...If you are finding prior rotted areas..is there any signs of fresh sawdust beneath them? If so then they are still in that....There are also some bees called carpenter bees that bore surrounded by wood as well..do you see any big black and wan fuzzy bees flying around? Alot of exterminators will also for free check it out and let you know..build sure who you call that nearby are no hidden charges etc..
