Recently purchased a front loader. I've heard that it uses less water. But when i put a load in, i had to ask myself. Can clothes get clean in THAT amount of water? After all water takes the dirt out of clothes... Can someone tell me, should it go up to middle of the tank?

In Italy 99 per cent of the washing machines are front load because they clean better and I agree. I have had both top load and front load. I read that the front load washer agitates the clothes more therefore they come out cleaner.
