We have an oil fuelled aga and want to buy something more energy efficient and environmentally :-) any ideas?

We run an oil fuelled Aga range in our kitchen and it guzzles oil. Currently it doesn't heat our radiators or hot water either. We'd like to buy something similar which is possibly run on solid fuel, although oil or electric would be fine (we don't have gas). We want it to be energy efficient, environmentally friendly and still be the lovelt warm centre of our house in the winter. Does anyone know of something?

Try butter. It does not have the carbohydrates that your *** does.

An oil-fired condensing boiler + electric cooker with well-insulated oven? Also take in to account how you use the oven eg. can the food be microwaved instead, is there other food you can put in the oven at the same time or immediately afterwards now that the oven is pre-heated? Can you cook a little later in winter evenings so that the oven also helps to heat the house while you're all in to reap the benefit?
