Is garden soil okay for indoor, potted plants (herbs)?

The genius at the Home Depot, when I asked give or take a few 2 different kinds of soil neglected to give an account me one was for potting and the other for gardening, which perchance I should have set, but I am a new plant-grower : ) When I asked if one be better than the other, he said they would both work.

Answers:    I do not think it should receive a difference. the garden soil probably has no added fertilizer. All that matter is what the plant thinks. It may even similar to the garden soil better.
Generally, potting soil has some perlite added to reorganize the drainage. Garden soil will be heavier. Since this is new soil - you didn't a moment ago dig it up out of your courtyard - it may not be too bad. You might want to be extra scant not to over water - the most adjectives cause of potted plant passing. Good luck.
Only( potting soil) can be used with pots for plants inside or outside..
