Where is the best place to raise a family on the mid-southeast coast of America?

Looking for reasonable cost of living, good jobs, good schools, and activities.

South Alabama and North Florida are both great places to work and live. The cost of living is very reasonable and the schools are good also. The only down side of living on the Gulf Coast is, of course, the threat of hurricanes. But, if you are prepared it's no big deal.,
