Call a local bee keeper. We had the same thing happen to us and we called a bee keeper who was quite happy to come and take the hive, queen and all to his apiary. Bees lived, made honey for beekeeper and we got a pot of honey for our trouble. Win win. :-)
you have to call your local authority who will remove it free of charge
call to get a sleeping gas to put them to sleep and then whoever is responisble for taking bees would remove them!
pour boiling hot water on it and eat the honey
Shake it!! Seriously, call pest control. Your local Council will be able to help!
run away.......then contact your local council to remove it -unless you like bees.....then plant more flowers!
Contact your local pest control service. They'll remove it - bees are pretty protective of their hives, and if you don't have space to coexist, it's better to be rid of them.
douse it in gasoline. Instantaneous death
Smellyteddy says,
"Run like hell!"
RUN,RUN,RUN,RUN .!!!
Wait until evening, when they are all back in their nest, & spray the nest with carburator cleaner, ( a lot of it ) it should kill the bees.
get protection and lots of jars to make honey
Don't tell the Grizzlies.
Call your pest control people and they can get in touch with a beekeeper, who would LOVE to have your bees.
I'd leave it alone. The bees won't harm you unless you are agressive with them.
It's the wasps you have to worry about.
Don't mess with it.................. you could be stung to death.
Find a bee keeper in the yellow pages and call him to come and remove it and take it to his place. He would welcome the bees unless they are African bees then they are very very aggressive and will sting you to death. They would have to be exterminated.
Best of luck to you.
I have discovered a bee hive in one of the nesting boxes in my garden, as it doing no harm I am going to leave it. However, if someone finds one in their garden and it is causing distress to the family contact a local beekeeper in your area, or alternatively your local government envornmental officer who will advise you accordingly.
If you do not disturb the hive all will be well. The only problem with ignoring it, you may find that the bees may return again next year to the same spot.
Call your local council and they will remove it for a small charge.
if it isn't in the way of anything or causing problem when you in the garden then i would leave it, the bees are fantastic for pollinating an generally wont bother you if you leave them alone. else get it removed properly, don't try doing it yourself an getting stung or disturbing hive so the queen is in danger. wait till they become dormant when the weather gets cold is safest time.
