Why is it that homes within the western partially of the USA are built in need Basements????

Why are basements so common contained by the East and virtually nonexistent in the West?


Answers:    Probably depends where on earth in the West and East you are conversation about. In the Northeast, foundations own to be dug deep to attain under the frostline. Once they excavate for the foundation, putting surrounded by a basement isn't that much more. In the Southeast, in attendance is no frost heaving and basements are much rarer. May be the same article in the more hot areas of the West.
