Some of the tape is of the clear thoughtful and some is tan-ish/brown. When I tried peeling bad the clear tape it departed a residue/sticky stuff on the poster.

you can use an eraser, but it won't look very gleaming afterward. it is at the back of a poster, you lately don't want the glue to stick to the front and ruin the poster when you roll it. but you don't safekeeping about how the support looks, so it is okay.
Get some goo-gone.
Put it on a q-tip or something like that, and rub a bit on the sticky factor. It'll come out, but don't use too much or you can stain the poster
