the pool came with the house and didn't have a filter. we got a good filter but do not have a skimmer. we dont want to have to cut a hole in the side of the wall, but cant seem to find one the goes over the side of the pool. the pool place said that there are side ones but they dont carry it and we have checked all the pool places in a 75 mile radius. no one carryies them and didnt know where we could get one...any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

The pool store can order a "Lily Pad" skimmer from their wholesale supplier. They probably never heard of one, but they are available. It is an old item that used to be fairly common. Ask them to check with their supply house, now that they know what to order.
