Would you buy new furniture for two years only?

Am moving to a new city for grad school - for two years. Should I buy new furniture or buy used furniture? So far I have:
Pros of new furniture - new, fresh
Cons of new furniture - expensive, only need for two years
Pros of used furniture - cheaper, can discard after two years
Cons of used furniture - unsanitary former owners, bugs, etc

Please help me decide!! I do not have much money, but I can squeeze out enough for new furniture. It would be nice to save that money though (as a poor-grad-student-to-be!). What would you do? I cannot see needing the furniture after two years, but it is a possibility! HELP ME!

(thanks!)

Answers:
Look at it this way, In two years you will be moving away from your school so why buy new and have to move it. With used you can easily discard and will not be out a lot of money. Look at Salvation Army stores, Hospice stores or other charity type org. they have good quality furniture and if you continue to keep the furniture in fairly good shape you can re-donate and take the cost off on your taxes.

furniture, sometimes new can be just as cheep.
Ikea, then try placees like the goodwill or thrift shops.
Even some Lowes and Home depot have tables and chairs.
I would try buying used for now check your local paper for used furniture some people have some decent stuff to sell. you can always steam clean it .good luck in school.
You can also rent furniture. There are many places that rent furniture. Check it out on line such as American Furniture Rentals. What are your favorite organizing tips?
