Trying to determine the electricity deposit for a house I will be renting, and I was told to determine the "Living Space", not the "Heated Space". I thought I contained this and got sour the phone, but after looking at it again, I realized I wasn't sure exactly what I be looking for. The hold time to get fund through to the electric company is about 3 hours, so hopefully someone can aid me with this so I don't hold to sit by the phone that long. Thanks in mortgage!

Exclude the garage. Most of the time Living Space should be the same as Heated Space. The merely exception I could think of would be if you used a portable stove in the garage or surrounded by an enclosed quad. I would use your square foot numbers from an appraisal, which will NOT include the garage.
