Spraying apartment for roaches - what do i call for to prepare?

Our apartment manager is getting Orkin to come out and spray several apartments once a week for 4 weeks to get hold of rid of an infestation. My question is, what do I inevitability to do to prepare for this?

We have two refrigerators, several TVs, 4 computers, and several dresser drawers.

Do I involve to unplug all electronics, including the refrigerator? I assume clearing out adjectives closets/drawers and keeping them open during spraying is needed?

Please permit me know what I need to do to prepare for this properly. Thank you within advance!

Answers:    in good health if he is coming to "spray" for a roach infestation you will need to meet head-on him before he get a chance to do more pull. He should be using baits for the roaches surrounded by all the unit. He probably will do a minimal amount of spraying around the corners and windows for spiders and other irregular insects but spraying for roaches just slows down the process of anyone roach free, especially in an apartment setting. Just own it where he have a clear work area around the cabinet and sink counter. Nothing needs to be unplugged. If he does use bait try not to get hold of a can a raid respectively time you see a roach come out, you don't want to contaminate the bait.
if they're spraying, it really depends on if they're just treating the floor boards, or if they're going to necessitate in your cabinet etc. Usually for something that's going to take several treatments, they stipulation access to all floor boards or "cracks" between the wall (like pantry floor, at the rear fridge etc)

My apartment recommends we move adjectives furniture/boxes at least 6 inch from the wall, and approachable up all cabinets/doors/closets (with similar access to the wall base).

Anything that really requirements to be moved should come with the Orkin service. I would put as lots dishes as possible in dishwasher rather, because you don't want to eat of them until their wash again anyway, and it opens up the cabinet. Or if not dishwasher, put them surrounded by the sink.

They're not going to be bombing or fumigating the house, so I wouldn't worry in the region of unplugging everything, unless it makes you more comfortable to do so.

I would also plan on airing the house out after they hand down. I have asthma, so i'm pretty sensitive to smells etc, and I have a sneaking suspicion that the chemicals are awful. some people aren't bothered by it.

Could also read on the Orkin website, I'm sure they own some procedural advice, or a number you can name to ask.
