It depends on your ants ....if they are the black ones they like rotten wood to live in ...old trees, lumber, even a mailbox post. Removal of their homes is best. If they are the little brown ones leave them alone ...ants have territory they keep the big black ones at bay. And are very harmless. if they are in the house clean with vinigar...they lose their trails and get confused.

Ant Repelent Granuals. Spread them on the outside of your home near the foundation. They will not come in. Do this yearly or more often if you live in a warm climate.
