i have this big wooden desk thats really elderly. i want to dispose of it but i'm not sure where i would do that since it's so huge. does anyone know of any companies that will come to your house and pick it up? also i own an old arts school huge computer monitor that i want to throw away. i know i cant just throw it surrounded by the big trash can because its poisonous or something.

does anyone know how to get rid of these things? thankfulness.

Answers:    In our area, simply AmVets, Goodwill, Salvation Army or Volunteers of America will take colossal items and will come to your home to pick it up. As for computer items, we have to dispose of them at the hazardous debris collection site that the city holds every 6 weeks or so. Call your trash collection company asking when they hold theirs and whether they have a cupon. In our city, they charge by the pound and the cupon save you a lot of $$ when disposing of the elder heavier computer items.
