YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE TOXIC chemicals to banish ants from your home. Natural ant repellents work as effectively. First, determine where ants are entering your home and seal up the holes and cracks in those areas. To kill ants in your home, fill a spray bottle with soapy water and spray it directly on them.
To keep ants from returning, apply one of these two treatments to problem areas (like the corners of kitchen countertops): Mix 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and a few drops of water to form a paste; the cinnamon kills ants on contact. Or use Victor Poison-Free Ant & Roach Killer ($6.75; 17.5 ounces; 800-289-6656; www.victorpest.com). The spray comes in mint and cedar, both of which kill and repel ants.

Use Raid or Black Jack. It stinks, so leave the house for awhile and take your pets. Also after they're gone, sprinkle some Boric Acid around. It'll help long term or get those little black boxes that trap them.
If you have lots of ants in your kitchen put some turmeric powder in that area & all ants will leave that place in 10 mins .
Check this out it works really.
Spray bug pesticide or find the source where they are entering and put some ant pesticide granules at their entrance.

First of all, just smash them, but to keep them out of the kitchen so you don't have to kill them, wipe down all surfaces with a hot soapy rag and then dry it off and they won't come in anymore. But what do people think about this...What is a good home remedy for getting rid of 'Gnats' ??
