How can you safely release a racoon from a humane box trap?

When releasing the raccoon, do it far away from human dwellings.

The release site for these large animals should be over ten miles away.

Place a cover over the cage and set on solid ground. Slowly open the release door and stay idle. Let the raccoon move away from you and flee.
