how can i keep cats from messing in my garden?

Hi,
See below:
The "ultimate weapon" in the battle against nuisance cats is lion droppings, according to a cat charity.
The Cats Protection League (CPL) says that rather than using harmful substances to keep the pesky felines away, a dose of droppings will do the trick.
Silent Roar, as the droppings are called, can be bought at garden centres and pet shops and are becoming a popular feature in gardens.

Your lovingly tendered borders can now be kept free from cats' poops! Just spread the pellets over vulnerable areas to keep the cats away.
The pellets are soaked in real essence of lion dung and are then dried and sterilised. As cats are territorial, even the bravest of ******* will retreat when they smell a lion has been there first!
This is an environmentally friendly product and contains no artificial chemicals. During normal weather conditions, one application can last up to three months.
Although not recommended by the manufacturer, customers have found that this product also seems to deter squirrels, deer and foxes.
Instructions:
Spread the pellets about 3-4 inches apart
Handle the pellets with the gloves provided in order to keep the human scent off the pellets
Wash and dry hands after use
Keep out of reach of children
After heavy rain, sprinkle a few more pellets to boost the scent
Supplied in a 0.5kg box

Silent Roar came out on top in a survey by BBC Watchdog into cat deterrents for the garden. They found that after just 3 hours of putting the pellets down, no cats visited the garden!
The price is very reasonable...
Good luck with that!

You can try placing bottles of water around your garden, cats dont like the glare they make when the sun hits the bottles.
Orange peel also works well, cats do not like the smell.
Hope this helps
Cut some strips out of foil and attach them to either a small pole which you put into the flower beds or hang them from the washing line.
try a mesh fence around certain plants...or orange peels. cats hate the smell of citrus
potty train you cat. It works as perfactly as it does for dogs. There are also some eduction centres for CATS which can be helpful if you cannot train you cat yourself.
I agree...buy a dog! The kitties don't do harm do they? They don't like veggies silly! It could be a good thing because they eat the pests and insects that DO harm your garden.
Dogs don't really work, our neighbours cat still comes in even though our dogs would rip it apart if they caught it. You can buy cat repellent spray from most pet stores. Don't buy any of those noise emmiters, they simply don't work.
And its spiders that eat garden pests, not cats. Cat poo is really dangerous, especially for young children
try a "AK47".....works wounders.
Sprinkle pepper around the garden - they don't like it up their noses.
You can use pepper(from home is best) they sell it in garden centres.
there some special powder you can put down on your garden that keeps cats away, my grandad uses it, I'm going to c him in a bit so I'll ask him where he got it from and what its called and get bk to you
If you have a hawthorn hedge , after you trim it leave the trimmings around where the cats come into your garden. Otherwise use barbed wire.
