Firewood -keeping spiders out of it.?

Anyone know of a safe effective way to treat firewood for spiders.
We have a wood stove and bring so many spiders in the house from the firewood.

Answers:
can't be done!! we have tried everything from bleach to bug spray and the only thing that works is to keep the wood right outside the door in the cold and put it on the fire as soon as it is brought in

Other answers:
Keeping the wood off of the ground and out of the rain will keep it drier and decrease the chance of spiders. A shot of lighter fluid before the fire will help light it and chase them away before bringing them inside.
