Planting A Cactus?

What should u Plant a Cactus in Dirt or Sand? Which one is better?

Answers:    Sand!
I hold all of mine planted within plain soil.Any ground that corn will grow in a cactus should do economically in also.DON'T use potting soil. It's means of access too "rich" for a cactus. Just make sure the soil drains economically. Mine have done powerfully for years using this. This tip came from an old-fashioned Amish lady that have a small greenhouse a few miles from here and she had done this for decades.
I've other been told to mix it 50/50.
We plant ours surrounded by a mix of gravel, rocks, sand and dirt..with mulch even. Works wonders.
