is 6 feet deep enough for an inground pool?

Answers:
Six feet of water is a pefect pool depth, in groud or above ground. The hole should be deeper to provide for the concrete floor and infistructer. You should go as deep ot shallow as you feel. Most hotel pools are about six feet deep.

its realy up to you if you have kids or you want a diving board you might want to go 4 at the front then up to 12

lots of inground pools are only 6 feet deep and should be plenty deep enough if you're not into diving from a spring diving board. If you do have a spring board, then I would go for deeper to prevent neck injuries from diving. Even if it's not a spring board, if you're going to dive, you'll want it a bit deeper than that, I'd say at least 8 feet for the diving area, at least
No. If you desire a 6ft deep pool, you have dig deeper for the construction. We have a 6ft pool, but the end result is really 5'10" .

We now regret not going 9 feet for what it's worth.
i would say no. when you pour the cement and actually make the pool, more inches will be used up. i would say 12 feet minimum
You may want to check the ground water table before putting it in.
maybe for a grave but not a pool.
it is a personal preference. Typically if you are going to have a diving board, you want 8 feet minimum depth (at the diving end).
Not if u have a diving board. It must be 12 feet.
That's more than deep enough. You won't be diving in a backyard pool, and people can swim quite comfortably in 4 to 5 feet of water. The slightly shallower pool also gives a good depth for playing water volleyball and other games, where you need to have your feet on the bottom at least part of the time.
plenty deep, but NOT for diving. Good depth for a play pool, though.
You cannot dive at 6 Feet, but it would be over my head. I'm 5'7".
