Is it safe to use Polar Fleece to make crib sheets?
Also, what is selvage?
Is "raw edge" the part that was cut by scissors?
Answers:
I hope you live somewhere cold. Polar Fleece can be a bit warm. Just made sure that you wash it first. Selvage is the edge made by the loom, raw edge is (like you said) the cut edge. Welcome to sewing. I hope you like it. I have been sewing for a long time.

I think its safe enough, but my son (now 8 months) doesnt like the fleece blankets we have because he gets too hot (even months ago, when it wasnt so hot out). He likes the cotton. But with the fleece, he sweats, then wakes up and cries miserably. Almost takes a cool bath to get him back to his normal, cheerful self.

Depending on the babies age if it's 1-6 months I wouldn't for the sake of the baby, the little minute fuzzies come off with the babies movement and most of the time the babie is laying face down
