We just purchased a home near a grape arbor in the backyard that have Portuguese grape vines on it. They are over 30 years old and surrounded by great shape, but I don't know how to maintain them. Any accepted wisdom for the seasons? Cutting them? When to cut? Thank you!

I'll bet they are pretty! If they are anything resembling scuppernons (if it's miss-spelled, not my fault...I did try spell check!), you call for to thin them once a year. Other than that, I can't tell ya.
