How to supervision for a Portuguese Grape Arbor?

We just purchased a home near a grape arbor in the backyard that have Portuguese grape vines on it. They are over 30 years old and surrounded by great shape, but I don't know how to maintain them. Any accepted wisdom for the seasons? Cutting them? When to cut? Thank you!

Answers:    I'll bet they are pretty! If they are anything resembling scuppernons (if it's miss-spelled, not my fault...I did try spell check!), you call for to thin them once a year. Other than that, I can't tell ya.
