Can full-size BBQs use the 16 oz canister?

All full-size BBQs come with a hose and regulator to hook up to a 20 lb reservoir. But can you also use the 16 oz bottles directly? When your big tank runs out, it would be nice to do this and better than have a full 2nd tank lying around.


Answers:    I don't suppose the threads will fit. 16 oz containers have fine threads while grills hold a coarse, reverse (left handed) thread.
