Seriously, though, the kilt pin goes on the right side of the kilt
On the right hand side of the upper skirt. If the upper skirt is divided into 4 from top to bottom, it is usually in the lower 3rd level. It is only pinned through the upper skirt, not through the lower skirt as well, as that can interfere with a perfect look. It is only meant to add weight to the upper skirt so it doesn't blow upward in a breeze.
