How can I flatten my current pillows?

I bought new pillows because my antediluvian ones had become flat and tricky. But now the unknown pillows are a little TOO big and fluffy, humiliated to sleep on. How can I flatten them down a bit a without ruining them?

hmm, try placing a heavy dictionary or any book on them. move off it there for close to an hour or so and prblem solved :)
