I am looking for a remedy for poison oak without using chemicals?
Answers:
I use a 25/75 % solution of common bleach and water, in that order. Almost immediately you will notice the difference. Be careful not to get any in his eyes!

there is a product you can get called Zanphel, or simillar name, you can get it at walgrees or eckards or like. but it absolutly treates poison ivy sores and helps break down the chemicals in skin. saved my mom sanity when she had some. but if your son that bad you need to go get him a benadrill shot at doc office.

I mixed equal parts of bleach and white vinegar to get rid of my poison Ivy, it worked great. It was supposed to be good for all those types of plants...oak, sumac. I would try it. It really stinks, so cover your nose and mouth when applying. Good luck!!
This is for the treatment and removal of the poison oak, ivy and sumac OUTSIDE. Not on the child himself. Just in case.
White Shoe Polish will smother out the itchy problem
