the flesh is white inside, with the seeds in the middle, we live in Kentucky, they call it a palmgranny, it smells like a melon, but its skin is orange-red & yellow streaks, and fuzz like a peach, older people said they just set it up&it would make your house smell good , are there any other uses, is it poison?

Answers:
Actually, it's called a "Plum Granny". It's also known as an "apple melon". It's just another type of melon, but you don't want to eat it. It's edible, but supposedly tasteless and slimy. However, it does smell good!
