Has anybody heard of Hurricane Panels(protection for windows; on your house during hurricanes)?
Answers:
I'm not familiar with Storm Busters, but many manufacturers are out there. Storm Panels are removable corrugated metal panels, usually aluminum, which screw or bolt over window openings. They are very effective against wind-borne debris, and easier to install than plywood. Resistance to rot is another advantage.
Three things to remember....
If you have a two story home, are you comfortable on a ladder?
Where are you going to store them when not in use?
Make sure they pass Florida's test for impact resistance.
If you protect your windows, the odds of you loosing your roof are significantly reduced.

Home Depot sell these aluminum panels in my area. They come in different lengths and are easy to install. Are better than plywood panels and can be installed, removed and stored easily (10 min). The aluminum angular that support the panels shall be installed only in flat areas near windows and doors. Houses with vinyl siding may have problems for installation.
