Will a young bird ever fly if one of it's wings don't work? Will it even live?
Answers:
It depends on how its wing is hurt. If it's broken, it may not heal properly, and then it won't be able to fly. If it's just mildy injured, it may recover; animals are amazingly resilient to damage.
Even if it can't fly, it can still live. There's a wild animal farm near where I live that takes animals in for rehab. There's a huge cage full of birds that can't make it in the wild. Many of these birds only have one wing because the other had to amputated, for example there's a bald eagle that was shot by a bad hunter and then rescued. It only has one wing now. They can't fly, but they're really good at hopping from branch to branch.
So, if one wing doesn't work for the rest of it's life, it will never fly, but it can still live.

Sure it will fly - but only in circles.
Unless both wings work, it cannot fly. Unless the problem can be fixed somehow, your bird is grounded for life.
If it's a wild bird it probably won't live as some predator will get it,but if it's a tame bird in a cage it will probably be bullied by the other birds with it so keep it seperated untill it's better.
I had a one-winged blackbird about 20 years ago. Leroy(the bird) lived a good long life.
sometimes they do die but if u treat it right u can make it ur pet. Since he cant fly, I'd put him in the cage. but do call ur conservation to find out the rules if its a wild bird.
if this bird is wild it will be easy to hunted by another big bird
