Do you think indoor or outdoor birthday parties are more fun?

If the party is held at your house, outdoors is best. That way you don't have to worry about things getting damaged.
It also depends on the type people attending the party. For kids, outdoors is great. For adults, it depends on whether the adults are drunk and rowdy, or responsible and mellow.
How many people will attend the party? A family get together can be nice at home, or in a park where a pavillion can be rented.
A party for college students, well, that age group is notorious for damaging things, unless all the invitees are responsible, intelligent, and have good manners.
For little kids? A back yard party is perfect, or one in a nearby park. Rent a bounce house and bring lots of snacks and sugar. Get some of the parents to stay to help supervise.
For high school kids? If into electronics, indoors is great. Get everyone to bring their play stations, xboxes, tv's and portable radios. Get them to all bring soda and snacks too and stay up all night playing games and eating.

Outside parties are more fun if weather permits. Depends alot on if its for kids or adults. But I would rather be outside more room to move around.
It depends upon where you hold them and who is doing all the work like catering and so on.The best parties are surprise parties where you just have to arrive and look surprised.If you have to organise them and clean up afterwards,go for outside with do it yourself barbeque for adults.Kids are best kept at a table inside,near the refrigerator,then throw them out into the yard.Beach parties are good too,but not for non swimmers.Really it's not location but the company that makes a good party
Outside, definitely! Get a marquee, gazebo or party tent, coloured party lights strung up surrounding the area - great fun and memorable! Regardless of the weather, as long as it is not too windy.
