I hold tiny white bugs within my devil's ivy- what are they!? I enjoy a black thumb & don't want to shoot my plant

Mom gave me a devil's ivy plant for my current apt; I didn't want it cause i would snuff it. She said it was complex to kill and required little attention.
after have it a few days, I saw these tiny white bugs swimming around and burying into the soil. I looked online to see what they were. I be overwatering it, and thought they could be fungus gnat larvae. (they don't look similar to mealybugs at all) i let the plant dry out, and never saw any gnats flying around. They are still nearby. I looked online again. I saw one site saying that they are apposite bugs that help the plant verbs the air. That be only one site, and they didn't hold a name of the bug. No other site mentions them. So thus I don't know if they are good bugs or doomed to failure and if I need to capture rid of them..how?
They are really really tiny- like the size of a extent or dot. They look all white from what I can recount.
Does anyone know what they are? Are they good or unpromising? Should I re-pot it? I really don't want to kill this plant

Answers:    aphids, woman bugs will eat them
Aphids. Go to any garden shop and they put on the market spray bottles of stuff to kill them. Read the label. They have different formulas for different types of plants.
