Apartment - No yard work
I prefer to live in a house. I love not hearing other people or them hearing me.
I have lived in both and prefer a house with enough land to not have people building too close. I am rural.
Houses are for people with pets, I mean chidren, wait, I mean children and pets. A house can be bought where as aa apt. can not. Either way, you wind up payong for it all your life
I love to live in House
At this point in my life I like living in a house because we have 3 kids and I like having a yard for them to play.
When I was in college, I loved apartment living because there was no yard work.
House. Why put all of your money in an apartment when it is not going to be yours?
well when i am able to live on my own i will start out with an apartment while i'm in college and when i just get out of it. then when i get a family i would move to a house. i like houses better though becuz they're all mines and i can do whatever i want to it. nobody would be up late botherin me or people underneath me or above me.
The walls are real thin at some apts. If you want your neighbors to hear you have sex, your phone calls, and arguments...then yes.
well I live in an apt now. it does have its pro's and con's.
PRO- I dont have to shovel snow, cut grass or make repairs.
CON- its a two bedroom, smaller for a kid and all that comes with a baby, noise level from neighbours, I cant make any changes to the wood wall panneling(yuk).
But this place isnt all bad. I have 10ft ceilings, inside round corners, arched doorways and its very bright, and the rent is cheap too. $560 all inclusive. Private entrance with a 5x40ft balcony looking over the streets. But hey we all have to move on sometime. I will be buying a house come next yr.
If you live in a house you have a lot more financial freedom. Yes, you are. Some people think that you pay more for house then when you rent. That is true. But actually you have a lot more then a house - you can write off taxes, you can do refinancing and buy new car (like I did), you can refinance and get money for your kids college. Plus you can do many more things that can benefit your financial goals. If you are planning to retire and live in, for example, in CA, you can sell your house and move to another state, buy another house, much bigger then yours in CA, and have plenty of money in your account.
I lived in appartment and now own a house. I like house better.
Oh, and with the house you can do with it as many things as you want and as you wish (some of your wiches might require goverment permissions though)
I vote house for the privacy & the chance to do whatever you want with the place; however, apartments have their benefits too....like free maintence!!
A house of course! I love privacy and the fact that you can decorate your house however you would like. And actually I think yardwork is fun. You can make anything look the way you want it to and even knock out walls!
hi...it depends....if Apartment, you would have more chances of facillities such as swimming pools, gyms, more security, if you are someone like me who likes upper levels, then it is the right choice to have an apartment in 20+ floors....
but if house, you would probably have more space, more privacy, if you are someone like me who likes yards and gardenings, then it is the right choice for you....
I like both, but the place I live in is near the equator and is very hot, so the upper you are the more winds you get which means it is cooler and makes you feel good, like my place which is in 39 floor of the apartment....I prefer apartments in hot places and houses for cold ones...nice day
When I was younger, an apartment, less maintenance.
Now I am almost 40, I love living in a house. I have a beautiful yard with dozens of trees. I can only hear my neighbor when they are having a party (instead of every time they walk across the floor or turn on the TV).
I may go back to the apartment when I get older.
I live in a house cause I hate neighbors. And my pets have a yard to play in. And my son can have his tree house. And I love yardwork
