Moving after 10 years - how do you decide what to throw out and what to keep?

Answers:
for starters, if its still boxed from last move - pobably safe to toss. If you haven't used it in 1 yr - toss. If you have more then 1 - keep one toss rest. Try to seperate "memories" from items, this makes it easier to choose. Good luck with everything!!

Other answers:
If you haven't used it the past year throw it out.

the easiest way is to consult a professional and have them tell you whats in, whats definately out and what old but is worth keeping. Put sentimetal values aside and decide what do you love the most and then see if what you love would fit into the new place...if it won't, you can have that redone/remodelled to fit the theme of your new place.

I am South African and I am into the afro-chic look and trendy vibrant colours for people full on life, so since culture affects a persons taste...I wont try to use this portal to give you practical examples.
