Thinking of renting a house in England, what references do I need?

aswell as references from previous landlords employers a huge deposit,and proof of income....you musr=t have a very good regular income... i live in the south and i cannot get over the price if renting accomadation privately..its at least £100 a week for a box room.plus bills...

loads, employer, last landlord and so on, also a credit check and you usually give 6 weeks rent as deposit.
Possibly two from previous landlords and maybe a work reference. Also you need lots of money as they often like a month plus and month in advance.
