Why did my Ficus tree quit growing and started losing leaves??
Answers: I worked next to them at a nursery. They love green house humidity and little actual watering (non chlorinated). Require repotting when root bound. Filtered light. This dropping of leaves is a winter item. Possibly a warm/dry climate in your house - misting is suitable.
What sort of ficus? The edible sort drop most of their leaves contained by winter.
What sort of weather do you have? Indoors or outdoors?
As mentioned here..root bound ficus trees are contained by fact severely happy mortal root bound...They do not need a bigger pot..I believe that if you are not overwatering it(for they obligation very little) that it is not getting proper drainage from the pot it is within....I dont know where they come up with it man root bound...You can transplant to a bigger pot if you want it to grow alot larger but not necessary..I am contained by Florida and have a ficus to be exact extremely root bound and been surrounded by the same 5 gallon pot for over 7 years immediately..it is happy...I will not transplant it to a bigger pot for I enjoy it at the heighth i want it to grow..I say the drainage is poor ..or overwatering..
