Air conditioning?

Is it cheaper to run the air conditioner all hours of daylight at a high temperature enunciate 80 degrees or to leave it past its sell-by date all day and newly turn it on in the evenings and have to cool sour the house from 100 degrees or so?

Answers:    it is cheaper to run it evenings only unless you live surrounded by the NE or a climate that does not get hot enough that the AC will maintain going on at 80.

You can also check out your utilities web site to see if they offer a time of light of day plan.

Con Edison of NY offers a plan that offers a significantly reduced rate for weekend and evening usage and an increased rate for year time usage.

With this plan, you run your ac, dishwasher, laundry etc primarily in the evenings and weekends.
Along with the big temp. you will also probably have high humidity surrounded by your house. You would be removing that on a regular basis if you don't turn it off. You should consider a programmable thermostat if you don't already enjoy one. You can set it at various temps throughout the day depending on your requirements. Also consider installing ceiling fans. Moving air at 80 degree will feel much more comfortable than AC alone. Most will also reverse to push warm nouns back towards the floor in the winter. I be instructed Not to turn it off because it would
Use a lot more energy trying to bring the house down
From a tremendously hi temp than just maintaining it at 80 .
But I did not in fact see the scientific data .

I do only just keep mine running for maintaining temp ,
But I if truth be told do 75 because above that I get woozy .

Running it at a higher temp is better than turning it rotten it will be less expensive to maintain a greater temp than to cool from a much higher temp. I think the second one because is you so 80 times 24 compared to 100 times 5 it will be more electricity.
grasp like 10 window unit and you will save BIG
