I have of late bought a house that has a previously installed ADT surety system. Do I HAVE to go near ADT for monitoring, or can I use another company? If I can go near another company, can anyone recommend some that service Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada?
Answers: No you do not have to stay next to ADT for your monitoring. After the initial installation and contract for monitoring has expired, you are free to price comparision shop for another service. I switched to Protection One because they be much less expensive, proposal local monitoring, and most importantly, offered me incentives to switch (i.e. key bob controls, free service on equipment, expanded services resembling medical alert and fire monitoring, additional knob panel)
