Ant problameo?
Answers: Of course, ant poison works best.
But organic? I once camp out - roughing it - and after we set up in the only wearing clothes spot, we had ants bad.
I happen to remember that "sweet fern" - has a wooden stem and narrow leaves near jagged edges, strong smell (spicy), and grows in clumps surrounded by sandy soil - repels ants.
We found a bunch - it grows like a weed - and put a lot of leaves on the ground within our tarp.
Stayed several days with no problem.
Sounds like you poured something sweet into your compost.
Why not lately drench the bucket with water to drown the ants? I can't contemplate of anything more organic than that. Scalding water over the ants will specifically kill them.
Ants help aerate the compost, but if you obtain too many of them, they could move elsehwhere.
