Any Tips that work to achieve rid of Squirrels?

A large Oak tree bordering our house is home to a lot of squirrels. Not much trouble at first, but very soon find they are making large holes in our grassland to bury their booty. We tried one of those sonar systems, but the little b...'s just carried on within it's inventory!

Any ideas or advice would be remarkably welcome.

Answers:    You could try the Scarecrow cat deterrent, the water one. It's get a motion sensor and sends out a powerful jet of water when triggered.
I enjoy a huge syringe , i fill it with hose [cold] and spray them, seems to keep them away for a while close to 10 minutes or so:) For my feeders we smear vaseline or ghries on the poles , when they try to climb up the pole to get to the feeders they slide down, quite funny purely hope we are not hurting them. I tried several things and found the best way to get rid of squirrels is to live trap them and release them out contained by the country. I talked to the people surrounded by my city and they said it was ok.
.22 caliber. Live traps. Just be sure there aren't babies up here first. My brother shoots them...I feed them...HAHA!

OR, Chain a dog to the tree for a bit. That'll scare them away.
