Borax works, but the roach needs to bearing through it and eat. It is suppose to explode their stomachs?
We live within FL so tons of roachs! Once you get rid of the problem Hot Shot Home Insect Clear Formula keep them out for several months. It says nine, we respray nearly every 3 months and other than contained by the garage our house is mostly roach free. Every once in a while we find a unresponsive or dying one.
Nothing is 100% and I don't know how bad your problem is. If you can see them around doors/cabinets (more than 1 here or there) or see them during the sunshine, you may need to give the name for professional help.

The best stuff that I have ever found is Home Defense. I receive it at Walmart or Lowe's. Last for 12 months I use it inside and out. Just follow the directions carefully.
