I found this bug in my kitchen.. it was a solid looking flyish , Mosquito... It wasn't a crane fly. It was small like a fly but have like a stinger like a mosquito ( i am not sure what you ring that blood sucking pocky thing that they have lol) it have light beighish wings and a pinkish, salmon couloured body... Had 4 legs and a stinger similar to i already said.. If you can also please leave a website so I can see a picture..
Answers: I can go lone so far with the information you provided. The stinger like a mosquito is a proboscis. Mosquitoes enjoy them Crane flies don't. Butterflies and moths have them but they are retractable tubes for sipping nectar. Mosquitoes and other flies have two wing. (actually they have 4 but 2 are stubs you usually can't see). One other fly the "thick head fly" has a proboscis. Family Conopidae. No pictures found . there is a bee fly...
