I came to my home one hours of darkness and saw a big, black, and creepy looking bug running across my floor. I wanted to spray poison adjectives around the house but I have a dog so that be out of the question. I hear that bugs like this (cockroaches) could kill by just spraying soapy dampen on them. Is this true?

I'd say-so get a roach motel for them (it have a sticky floor and when in the never walk off, bit like the Bates Motel)
Roaches can live for a month in need their heads, (they merely starve, then) so I dont think soapy hose down will bother them
The live on fat and bits you drop on the floor and the sewers are full of them, so its an uphill contest if you do have them
