Can I microwave my unsullied dishes?

I just bought exotic dishes and they don't say anything more or less being microwave not detrimental on them. They are heavier than most plates I've had, but not close to the way outmoded fashioned ones. So, do you know if I can microwave them safely or not?

Answers:    some plates are not microwave not detrimental due to high moisture content. try cooking something small on one for short period. see if the plate gets reheat, not just the food but the plate. if the plate stays cool where on earth the food isn't sitting on it you should be fine. also don't microwave on a plate with a plastic coating. the plate might be fine but if you bring back the food to hot it could cause some chemicals to leach out of the plastic.
If within in not a bit gold plating-it will spark- they should be fine. You can check the dishes by putting 1 in the microwave and see if in attendance is any reaction.
