Can I put a couch subsequent to a radiator?

I just moved into a studio and I want to put my couch next to my radiator but I'm afraid of it burning. It's a short time ago a normal old cloth covered couch. I don't deem the couch will touch it but it will definitely maybe lone be an inch away. But my apartment is really too small to put it anywhere else.

Thank you!

Answers:    its summer time now,,right?? so not to worry. anyway a radiator will never bring hot enough to start any fire.
But in the winter when you want the heat you have to maintain the couch about a foot away so the heat can radiate nearly the room. Also keep the winter drapes short so's it wont divert the heat up the wall.
Hope this help answer your question.
that is a potential fire see in the colder months, if the radiator is not in use at the moment it will be fine for presently, but you will have to remove it when the radiator is working . . Yes as long as it is a steam radiator(some electric space radiant heaters are called radiators incorrectly.)
As long as you hang on to it several inches away it won't burn, but you'll be blocking your heat.
