Can snails survive when out contained by the roast of the sunshine?

Found a snail this morning on the garden path, the sun was tremendously hot, so I put him under a bush. Did I move him unnecessarily?

xx

Answers:    I think you be right moving the snail to the shadow. Snails like and need plentifully of water, don't they? You must have caught it beforehand the rain or before watering your garden. The snail's "body" would own lost all water too at the double if the snail had not been moved to the shadow. I have an idea that you managed to save one little vivacity :) It's so nice you have good heart even for the smallest beings :)
That be nice of you.
I think you did the right thing
Their slime may deed like a magnifying cup with the sun and burn the poor thing.
:)
We shall never know, how did he act in response to the whole snail moving incident? Did he look petulant? Tip top.
